Well, we’re home and while it’s great to see Pumpkin Head and Itty Bitty I’m missing being out on the trail already. Shoot, I was missing it as soon as we left the park. There were some disappointments – only one bear and no pic of that, just a handful of elk and they were too far away to get any pics of, we were too early for the peak of the azaleas in bloom. But it was still an amazing trip. Gregory Bald and the synchronous fireflies at site 28 were definitely the hi – lites. Just awesome!
Next trip will be in October and we’re not sure what the plans are for that. Working on some ideas. We’ll see. In the meantime I’ll be sorting through all of the pics and trying to get a gallery together. And I have to do something about a different pack for myself when Loonie comes along. This circa 1980 external frame pack just isn’t cutting it. Far cry from the 10 oz Cuben Fiber pack I use for solo trips!
